Yes, I’m sure that most of you would fail to see the connection.
My husband did. I don’t see the point of this question though.
It’s my favorite instrument but I have never taken the time to learn it
I’m 19 and I’m in college working on my bachelors of science in civil engineering
I feel bored about my path, so i wanted to pick up an instrument,
so should I buy and learn to play the violin?
the sound of the violin to my ears is second to none. It is also a very beautiful instrument, made of maple sometimes, the design and shape of it is just so pleasing.
if you feel the urge to learn to play, then there is no reason why you shouldn’t pick it up.
a good quality instrument is a serious investment though. My violin is a Gotz that my parents bought for me 9 years ago. the instrument alone was $2200. The bow and case brought the total to $3000.
look into renting from a sting shop in your area and while you are there ask them about private instructors.
you really should only buy an instrument after you’ve been playing for a while so that you can pick one that is right for you tonally and in feeling.
best of luck to you.

I am 30 years old and have been dying to learn to play the violin ever since I can remember. I see concerts and just imagine myself as the violinist.
The problem was I never had much time. I now want to MAKE the time and was wondering if it is hard to learn to play the violin.
I mean, I am sure it isn’t easy, but with a sincere effort, is it really that hard to learn?
Thanks!
Im not going to sugercoat it. Yes it is, actually harder than other instruments to physically play.
like any instrument it will take a long time to master it, the more artistic you can be with something the harder it will be to master it. but physically yes it is
dont give up though or let go of this. trust me its better that you know now so you will be more mentally prepared than have false expectations.
I am 26 and I want to learn to play the violin I have a learning disability but I can already read music a bit
keeping all of these factors in mind do you think it would be possible?
I am teaching a 18 yr old girl with some learning disability violin now. You will for sure face some difficulties just as all the beginners. But as long as you stick to it and don’t give up, you will be able to play it. Many times, I found her actually does better than my other students, because she doesn’t have that much distractions in her mind and all she wants to do is play violin and get better. That’s all it needs. Get a good patient teacher and practice as much as you can, you will get there. Good luck!

I am not sure which instrument I should learn to play. The violin, guitar or the piano. Which will be cheaper? Roughly how much will it cost? Do you think I will need the instrument to learn how to play it? I live in Sydney, Australia and I am a male 13 year old.
to be honest guitar is cool and cheapest…
violin is the most sophisticated
but…
Piano WILL GET YOU the most girls…if thats one of your goals..trust me piano is the way to go.
I did not want to spend any more than $150-$200. What is a good violin for a beginner in that price range (or lower)?
i have2 violins both were no more than 180 dollars. they are great. they are not the best quality but they are great for beginners and work fine.. be careful though. super cheap violins may not be good qualities check these out
