Most of your tuning should come from using the fine tuners ( adjusters) just past the bridge, especially for steel strings. Use the pegs when you are putting on new strings, or when you have a huge change in pitch because of changes in temperature or if your cello has been travelling with you ( they can be precious!)

It takes  practise to learn to tune your cello, and a good ear helps, if in doubt, get someone else to do it or help you.</description>
