I’ve been playing for 8 going on 9 years now, and I absolutely love it.
It’s a big commitment if you want to do well, but definitely go for it if it’s something you want to do.
You could even just rent one for a while and see how you find it.

My violin is a Gotz that my parents bought for me 9 years ago. the instrument alone was $2200. I say you should wait till you get to the point when your so old you could barely walk to play a violin.But i wouldn't even do it for a spare time, and i know it is your favorite instrument. But think about it, picking up a violin would make your path even more boring. Trust me, i played the violin back in grade school. It was so BORING.
